This month in VIP we worked with masking paper!  
This is a new product that you might have overlooked, but it basically replaces the sticky note!  
Below are the 3 cards we made, with videos for the 2 cards I CASEd.  
​The first card I designed myself using retired Large Letter dies and the Biggest Wish stamp set.  
First, we started with Shimmery White cardstock (which is meant to get wet).  
Then, I added about 10 drops of reinkers in spritzers and filled with water to create a rainbow effect.  
Then, use a heat tool to dry before pulling off the masked letters.  

Next month will be the last VIP Card Class for the year, and I promise it's gonna be good!  
Then, I plan to take at least a year off from advanced technique classes in order to try something new!

For February VIP Class, we returned to Fancy Folds!  We made 3 cards, all of which were CASEd by other demonstrators.  The first was using the Love Cats stamp set and you could choose between two options.  Here are the cards we made, plus the video tutorial we used if you want to make your own!
​By the way, how awesome are the Alphabet A La Mode dies?!

The second card was cased by Kevin's Kreations and used the By the Bay suite.
​Isn't that paper gorgeous? And we also used the Seashells embossing folder.

The 3rd card used the Rain or Shine suite and was so fun to decorate.
The dies cut out the paper which make for such a cute look, plus the images are embossed!  

Make sure to not miss the next two (and last) VIP Card Classes!  
In March, we'll be trying out the masking technique.  And in April, we'll be making interactive cards.  
​After these two classes, I'll be taking a break from VIP (for at least a year), but will be trying something new...stay tuned!  But in the meantime, make sure to register for VIP Classes held here in Indianapolis!

Last month in VIP, we tried the alcohol ink technique I had been seeing posted all over social media.  
So for VIP, we made 3 cards, 2 of which were inspired by Melva Peters & Alisa Tilsner.
