Recently, I have had a chance to use my new Letters for You Bundle. When I first saw these in the new 2016-2017 Catalog, I knew they would be perfect for scrapbooking. This summer we went camping, so I decided to use them for the title of the spread. I first stamped them in Old Olive on Whisper White cardstock, and I love how the stamps are faded in certain spots to look more modern. I then punched the Letters out on the Big Shot. I used the Always an Adventure Bundle to make the mountain landscape. We went camping in Pennsylvania, so not quite the Smokey Mountains, but you get the idea. I also had a custom order for someone who wanted a Happy Birthday banner for a special friend whose daughter was turning one. I used a Cricut (thanks, Cari!) to make the Night of Navy banner shapes and the cute Melon Mambo crabs. Then I used my Big Shot to punch out the Whisper White circles and the letters with the Letters for You. After that, I covered it with contact paper, threaded it with twine and added a few ribbons. Adorable! Now, I know this bundle is quite expensive, so the only way to justify it is to get it 50% off! Hosts who have a qualifying workshop get to choose one item at 50% off, so this is the way to go! Ask me more!

I love the song by Jonny Diaz called Breathe. And now my Bible Study at church is going through Priscilla Shirer's study called Breathe. As I normally do, I wanted to copy the cover of the study in my Journaling Bible to help visually remember the study to remind me in the future to just Breathe. First, I take a picture of the cover and print a copy scaled to size so that I can cut out and trace. Next, I used a Versamark pen to trace the text. I actually found my old Stampin' Up! large heat emboss tray helpful for embossing something larger than a card. Once traced, I covered with white emboss powder, used my brush to wipe away the excess, and set with the Heat Tool. Lastly, I used my new sponge brayer to apply Pool Party ink over the page to make the white text appear. What do you think? On Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 6-8pm I'll be leading Creative Crafting at my church if you want to come and try this out for yourself!
