Convention was my 1st attempt at a swap. I prepared 100 of the same card (with slight variations). Most all only made a card front, less than half put theirs in a plastic sleeve, and it is expected you only use products out of the current catalog with a "recipe" on the back of which products were used. What I didn't realize is how hardcore people were about this! Our flight didn't arrive in Salt Lake until 3:30 in the morning (our time) and already a lady was asking us to swap! The next morning, I quickly realized swapping started immediately and many cards were a little more intricate than mine. Not to mention, people had interesting ways of organizing all of the cards they were giving out and receiving. The picture to the left shows one lady with several card options for you to choose from, all housed in a cute display, which she bought in the laundry section of the dollar store! Check out the slideshow below of all the cards I swapped for. |
