What to Do With Washi?

As suspected, the time had come when I had outgrown my washi tape storage solution (right).  When Stampin' Up! added washi to their product line a year and a half ago, I quickly fell in love with the ease of adding a strip of color to any project.  Washi had been sold in sets of three rolls, but lately, they have included up to five rolls per pack.  Plus, the latest Paper Pumpkin included a roll of washi!  My collection has expanded and will continue to, especially when I keep finding more colors on the Clearance Rack!   I went to Pinterest for ideas to store my growing collection and found mostly DIY ideas.  I then turned to google where I searched by images. This led me to Amy Tan's blog which had a picture of a Washi Wheel (below) which looked like it would easily meet my needs!

The dimensions fit my shelf and it held up to 72 rolls, much larger than my current collection of 26.  Then, I noticed it was made in Noblesville, IN, so I sent Amy a message and asked if it was possible to pick up to avoid the $11 shipping charge.  Amy quickly replied and pointed me to All Ready Memories.  The owner responded that she could arrange to meet me where she works, which turned out to be less than a mile from my house!  So needless to say, I am thrilled with my local purchase!  Better yet, I met a local crafter who has agreed to come to my next Craft Night to show her other products!
